Why-first travel planning

Travel planning should start with why someone is going somewhere.

The same destination can be a good or bad choice depending on the purpose: resting, meeting people, learning, working remotely, escaping weather, saving money, or exploring a specific culture.

Once the purpose is explicit, weather, cost, route, and accommodation data become useful filters. Without that purpose, the tool risks optimizing for what is easy to measure instead of what matters.
