Well, a first tkinter python desktop app, then a Go x Wails Desktop App.

Later a PySide6 (Qt) for the tello, for which I made the Go x Wails and Rust x Tauri versions

12. Which made me go deeper into maps: GPX, OSM and GIS

14. Racing best lap optimizer / simulator.

It all started with the Optimum Path Idea.

Then I put together a repo that leveraged the existing Go Pro extraction / overlays to get the circuit path.

And tinkered with few algorithms to optimize the path: minimum curvature (obviously not the fastest), a GD with a mass point model that brought very interesting results, plus the Genetic Algorithm and Reinforced Learning (for fun!).

Surprise, surprise: simple mode + realistic assumptions wins the day :O

15. GoPro and…Go Karting, desktop app to extract your racing days telemetry in a single package.

Taking the learnings of optimum path and the route tracker, I just put this together in GoLang

How this year surprised me

I was not expecting to:

1. Learn about plants
2. Make a decent come back to real world engineering: the mbsd framework with NVH analysis, the electronics simulations for EMR kickback that helped me relate with fpv/drone builds, watering plant systems, the power layer electronic design, the first 3d prints and the cool hydrofoils
3. That going into the FPV world with the A1/A3 license made me prepare the ULM/PPL for bigger flying things here
4. To see the gap between whats possible vs whats expected grow instead of shrinking
5. for the n-th time realize that we are not doing good questions at all neither improve our questioning process
6. still find people at 30+ y.o with the startup mode of 0 earnings now, no reasonable process to get better, but trust me bro that ill reach 150k MRO soon (and finding ppl who buy those stories)
7. Create my first pcb, with 3d prints around it to encapsulate it
